headers not the same

I inherited a document that had more than one section
break. The header in section two is different than the
header in section one, which is fine.

All the headers in section two are not the same though and
trying to use the "same as previous" command makes them
the same as the header in section one. Somehow I need to
make all the headers in section two identical.

Do you have 'Different first page' or 'Different odd and even' checked in
File > Page Setup > Layout?

These will give you more than one header per section (a first page header
and an even page header in addition to the basic 'odd' or 'recto' page
header.)

To make all the headers match, copy the header you want (apart from the last
'Header' style paragraph mark) and paste it into place in the other headers.
