Heading question

Hello everyone:

I am using Word 2003. I have seen reports where if a section spans multiple
pages, there is the word “continued†in the title on each page except for the
first page. For instance if a recommendations sections is 5 pages long, the
first page should read “Recommendationsâ€, and the last 4 pages should read
“Recommendations (Continued)â€. Is this possible, or do I need to type it
manually.

It's semi-automatic. You can set the Different First Page option for each
section's header. Then put Recommendations as the header for the first page
in the section, and Recommendations (Continued) as the header for the 2nd...
and it will automatically show up on each subsequent page.

File - Page Setup - Layout tab. Under Headers and Footers, look for
"Different first page".

Thanks, knew there was a simple way to omit heading on first page, and this
told me how ...
