Help! Accidently deleted the inbox folder and contents

I have a friend who accidently deleted their inbox folder, and its contents.
Is there any way to recover the folder and items in it?

He's a technophobe who's barely a user and fumble fingered to boot since he
lost it all in the first place.

Please help if you have an answer...thank you!

If it's in the "Deleted" folder then yes you can recover it, if not then
it's gone.
