Help Answer Wizard and Index won't always open

When open help descriptive panel comes up, but when I open tabs it hangs most
times. I noted it is taking 100% CPU usage when this happens and is 'not
responding'. I have 512 MB memory. I am using Word 2000 (9.0.2720)
