HELP ARCHIVE OUTLOOK AND FORMAT XP

Hi to all
i want to competly format my xp but the thing is that i have 4000 mail
in outlook 2003, how can i do to format and not to loose my mails. i
dont want to create a new partition.
and i created an archive .pst .

Then you need to save your pst file (assuming you are NOT using Microsoft
Exchange Server for your mail delivery) onto some sort of external media.
(Like CDR, CDRW, DVDR, tape drive, zip drive or external Hard Disk Drive etc
etc)

i have a .pst file but when i imported it to my new outlook it imported
just the fields that i had but they are all empty ,
im in deep shit
