HELP! Can´t change resource calendar

M

Marten

I have problem changeing the resource calendar in the enterprise
resource pool. All resources got the "Standard" calendar as base
calendar. I check out one or more resources from the resource pool.
Then I go to "change working time" and select some days and make them
noneworking time. I click save and everything looks good so far. After
that I close the resources and reopen them to check if the changes was
saved. The said part is that they dont take effect.

If their is anyone whit some good suggestions I will be more then
happy to hear from you!

Best regards.

Dear Marten,

If you want to change the Standard Calendar and apply to all resources then
you need to check out the Ent GLobal and not the Resource pool.

Regards,
Sumit.

I dont want to change the standard calendar for all resources. I have
the standard calendar as "base calendar" for my resources. I want to
change the resource calendar for 1 single resource. In this example I
want to put in vacation for 2 weeks in november. I try to change those
2 weeks to "nonworking time" in the resource pool for that resource.

Thanks for response

Best regards Marten

Marten:

The most likely explanation is that you don't have proper permissions in
Project Server to save resource change or to save them to those particular
resources. It's a good idea to mention the version of the product you're
using when you post.

The version I´m using is Project Server 2003 and Project Pro 2003 with
SP1. My user got Administrator permission. Is their any setting that
could cause this behaviour on a single resource even that I am
administrator on the system?

Marten:

Could be something funky in the database. There is a hard limit on the
number of exceptions you can put on a resource calendar, (don't know it off
the top o' my head) but it's not likely that's the case.
