Temporary Insanity: I went to the control panels and
REMOVED Office XP.
When I tried to reinstall from my CD, I got the following
message: " Another version of this product is already
installed. Installation of this version cannot
continuie. To configure or remove the existing version of
this product, use Add/Remove Programs in the Control
Panel."
Of course, it was Add/Remove that got me here in the first
place and Office is not longer listed by Add/Remove.
In desperation, I removed all the Office entries from the
registry with regedit. It this made my problem worse, I
can restore them.
