Help!!! Cannot read anything in powerpoint!

Every time I try to open something using PowerPoint I get a file
conversion/Calendar box. What do I do to fix this??

Can you open PowerPoint and then open the file using the File > Open menu?

Possibly you installed some rogue software that modified your file association.
