Just installed Sprint DSL. I can receive email just fine using Outlook 2002,
but it will only send about 5% of the time. Usually about once a day, I get
a message out. The rest of the time, I get a "server timed out" error
message.
- I can surf just fine.
- I can receive email just fine.
- It does actually send an occasional message (like I said - about 5% of the
time)
- My firewall is not blocking the outgoing port
- My virus checker is not set to scan outgoing email
- I've checked and double-checked all the SMTP settings, etc with Earthlink
people (don't think that would be the problem since it will send once in a
long while)
- I tried reinstalling Office entirely
- I have the latest updates/SPs/downloads
- Outlook Express works fine (but I need to use Outlook)
