HELP - can't get macros to work at all

I'm trying to follow this book AccessBible 2000. I do
the simplest macros exactly like in the book & every one
fails. It seems to be trying to access a macro that I
deleted, although the Fail screen that comes up and shows
the contents of my current macro.

This is very strange. Can you please give an example, showing the
actions you used in the macro, the event the macro is running on, and
the details of the error message?
