HELP - cant open database (Error 3197)

Hi,

I have a database that everytime I try to open it I get
the following error.

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process
because you and another user are attempting to change the
same data at the same time. (Error 3197)"

I know for a fact that no one else has it open. Ive tried
logging out and logging back on, but still get the same
message. How do I "unlock" this .mdb file so I can open
it?

Hi Neal

If the LDB file that is created when you start up your databae, is still in the folder when you close the database, then you have to delete the file with the LDB Extension. when uou delete the file it should be possible to open the database again
