I am somewhat new to access and I have a form where I currently have a
dlookup text box based off Employee Name to provide me with an employee's id
number. The employee name is a combo box showing the employees name from
another table with all the employee information. I would really like to link
my tables by the Employee ID vs. Employee Name. Is there anyway to copy and
paste the dlookup (Employee ID) to hard code it into the table. I tried doing
an append and an update query, but they don't work with calculated fields.
One thing to note, is that the person I am building this for is adament
about typing the employees name and not typing in the employee id, since
she'd have to go to another application to find it.
Any help would be greatly apprecidated.
