in need of help

Hi, I have developed a access database which is on a shared drive but when
someone tries to access it they get this error message “Couldn’t find file
xïªce This file is required for startup†and can't even open up the database.
What does this mean and how can I fix this ?

Thanks

Thanks for replying and the links.
The file name is a weird one.

Yep, that is a weird name (and possibly a name with an illegal character code
but when someone tries to access it they get this error message
“Couldn’t find file xïªce This file is required for startupâ€

Is that someone you, or are you able to open it okay? If you can open it,
my suggestion is to create a brand new database. Give it a name that includes
standard characters only. Then import all objects from this database into
your new database.

Did the two KB articles help?
