"Help" doesn't work right

In many programs, my "Help" doesn't work. In WordPerfect
for example, when I click on "Help" I get an error message
that says, "Call to WinHelp failed". In Windows "Help and
Support", some items don't respond to a click. In
Microsoft Office programs, the little paper clip guy works
OK, but on many dialogue boxes for Menu options, there's a
question mark on the right end of the title bar (left of
the Closing "x"), that I used to be able to Click on and
then point to items on the dialogue box and get specific
help. It doesn't work anymore. It's
inoperative on all programs on my computer, not just
Microsoft Office programs.

How to fix??

Unless I'm missing something, the only problem relevant to this NG is the
failure of specific Help topics in Word. WordPerfect and Windows Help should
be addressed in WordPerfect and Windows NGs.
