Help. I'm working on a word file that is a research paper
and has been added to and edited by many people. For some
reason I'm the only one of this group unable to open this
file once it's downloaded. I get the message, "The
document name or path is not valid. Try these
suggestions..check file permissions...or use the File
Open dialog box to locate the document." I use Windows
Xp and have all the latest Office Professional and
Windows updates. Of this group I'm probably the only one
with Xp. The file has numberous Excell charts in it and
is about 5 megs. I use a very new laptop Inspiron 5150
will very high disk space...was already told this was not
the problem as I have a lot of space available. I have
tried to open it via the dialog box but also
unsuccessful. I am downloading over webmail (Earthlink)
and saving to My Documents or to Desktop - with always
the same results. Can't open that file. Thanks for any
help
