HELP!! Excel 2002 taking up my whole taskbar/ start bar

I would like to only have one instance of excel 2002(XP) showing on my taskbar/Start bar instead of it opening a new workbook each time I open a spreadsheet

Can someone help me out with this

I don't see anything under views in excel that will let me do this
