I am having issues with the Help files in my system. I originally had Office
2000 and 2003 installed on the system. Then formatted and went with 2003
only. Everything seems to have gone well for a time. But, it seems that I
keep discovering more and more 'missing links' for the help files. About the
only thing I have done to the system that could explain this is downloading
the SDK/DDK files off of MSDN. All the updates are up to date. Virus
Detection current. No Solar Flares present.
Has anyone heard of or have links to articles discussing this problem?
Simple example of the problem. In creating an update query, I caught a
violation error and just wanted to refresh my memory by looking at the help
describing the issue. Clicking the Help Button gets me a blank window.
(That's the help button on the popup that you get asking you "Yes/No/Help")
On some other attempts, the help worked only after opening up a help
relating to an alternate issue.
-On a side note. It'd be really cool if Access would give you clue as to
which field threw the violation. >Just a couple cents of sense<
