Help for mass mailings in Outlook...

Denise

Hi all - A coworker of mine has himself in a bit of a jam and I was hoping
this might be the place to find some help. He needs to create a newsletter
(with graphics and links, the whole deal) to be able to give to a client to
send out for mass mailing. Can you do this within Outlook or do you need a
different piece of software to design/assemble the layout and then
copy/paste that into Outlook or whatever email program they use?

Thank you for any tips you can give - and if this isn't the correct place to
post this I do sincerely apologize. I just figured it was worth a shot to
ask here.

Why is he in a jam? What problems is he having? Outlook can send formatted
messages to multiple recipients.

Hi Russ - thanks for responding. He was in a jam because
he doesn't have a clue what he is doing. ;) I guess he
designed the newsletter like a web page (don't know if he
used FrontPage or Dreamweaver) and was hoping he could
just somehow give that to his client to pop into their
email program to send out. I hope I'm making sense. :\
Anyway, he asked me for help but I obviously have no clue
I have wondered for a long time how companies/people send
out emails that look like newsletters but never bothered
to find out. I will let him know that Outlook can
probably handle what he is doing. The email is supposed
to look like a printed piece of paper/newsletter - with
graphics and such - not just plain text and links. I will
tell him to play with Outlook some more and examine all
the possiblities. Thanks for your help! And if I have
made this any clearer and you have more tips, please
share! :)

Have him create the document in Word, then click on the email icon to send
it through Outlook.
