HELP - Forms automatically changing

I have designed an access database linked to infopath forms and it works ok -
my problem is that there are different forms for entering data on different
equipment. The data entry form is already designed and when i need a new form
i then copy the form then paste and change the name and modify it to use
different data.

When i then open the original form infopath automatically updates and alters
it to match the new form even though it is saved under a different name.
Therefor i loose all the previously saved templates as it automatically
updates all of these as well - why? and how can i stop it?

I don't want ot have to re-design every form each time i open infopath

Hi,

Publish the your form to local drive or sharepoint and then open the new
form double clicking on the XSN whenever you want new form.

Hello Geoff

Did you Save the form after Copying the XSN and then change the name. I
think you are saving the form after changing the Name. In this way it is
overwrting the XSN. Since even you copy the XSN and do not save it to a new
location before you change it will point to your old XSN and whatever changes
you are making it is overwriting.
