I created an excel roster list to import into access 2003. I now have a
training db that has a list of officers. My problem is that I want to add
new officers to the list. I add them in Access and I see them on through
"Add new officer" and they show up, but when I open the classes, I cannot see
them on the subform. I checked "relationships" and the OfficerRoster is
linked to all classes but I can't figure out why I cannot get it to update on
the classes. Should I just make a new list (manually) and replace officer
roster with a "new one" so that I will be able to easily update? I'm so new
at this so any simple instructions would be so much appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

Hi jerseygirl54,
to add new officers, make a form that is just for officers.
Use this form to add new officers.
You can put a button on the main menu or switcboard to open the form to add
new officers.

Hi Jeanette -
I have a form for new officers. I can add new officers, but when I try to
add them to the class, they are not seen on the subform. It's as if it's
looking at the original excel import and not allowing me to add to the list.

We will need some more details before we can make any useful suggestions.
Names of tables for officers and class and their relationship.
Name of primary key and foreign key for these table.
Record source of both the parent form and the subform.
