I have a work sheet that uses the VLOOKUP function to enter data form
another worksheet. In WS1 I enter a specific number and it pull the
information from WS2, now while in WS1 I don't want to be able to
select the same number again but would like a message to pop up and
say" that number has been selected already" "please make another
selection". And if possible have the selected number on WS2 either be
crossed through or have the row hi lighted so a quick look could tell
what numbers are still available. thanks for any and all help

Yes, however, multiposted questions make it difficult for others to help you
as the details of the problem are fragmented across several threads. Also,
some respondents will not reply to questions they know are multiposted
because, if someone else has already answered the question in another thread,
it is a complete waste of their time.

Many of regular posters read all of the Excel groups. Crossposting is okay
(posting one question that shows up in several groups - responders can see if
you got a reply in a different group).

Honestly, multiposting decreases the odds you will get the help you need
when you need it.
