help in retrieving outlook .pst file

D

dave

I have reformatted my hard drive (with partition delete) and reinstalled
windows xp. I failed to check my back up of my outlook file prior to doing
so which I am paying for now. I have downloaded a file recovery program, ran
it and found much of what was on the drive previously including many .pst
files. I am at a junction where I do not know how to proceed. I know that
the original .pst could now be fragmented. I have tried to import each into
outlook and rebuild the file but outlook has not let that happen. I do not
know where to go from here. I am in desperate need of all the folders I had
in outlook. Can someone tell me if I am on the right path, what else I need
to be doing, how to continue forward or if I am wasting my time.
Thanks in advance for your help!

If you formatted your partition and installed Windows XP on it, chances
are close to 100% that your old data has been overwritten and can no
longer be retrieved.

Maybe some specialized retrieval experts may be able to recover
something, but that may be very expensive, without any guarantee.

Your best chance is to look for an older backup of your PST file.

hey
dont loose heart.. there are chances of recoverinh pst files.
download Outlook Recovery software for free and run the same. it will show you the preview of the recovered .pst file data. with this you can be assured of the found data.
then go for purchasing it , right there you will get the activation key once you make the payment..you'l be able to save them easily then..
