Help ! Linking worksheets

This is simple if I can explain it correctly.

2 seperate worksheets

#1 will contain invoice numbers and customer names..thats all

#2 is an invoice template


Whenever someone wants to generate a new invoice I would like it to
assing the next available number from worksheet #1.

Then after the name is customers name is typed into the new invoice I
would like the name to get assinged to that corresponding invoice
number in #2.

And each new time an invoice is opened to be generated ith will assign
the next number available.
