HELP ME PLEASE! :)

Robyn Pfershy

I am at my wits end with FrontPage 2003. I am a new user and I am LOST! I
am having trouble with, what I put on my screen and then upload to my server
does not look the same on other people's computers as it does on my computer?
IS there someone out there who can help me?

I would so very much appreciate it.

Please email me at [email protected]

Hi Robyn,

Welcome to the WorldWild Web.

HTML stands for "HyperText Markup Language" and is the basis for web pages.
It is a text-based markup language, and is interpreted by the browser. There
are several major browser manufacturers, such as Microsoft and Netscape, and
several versions of browsers manufactured by each. In addition, there are
several versions of HTML out there. In addition to that, different computers
run different operating systems, with different screen resolutions (Murray -
I'm just using the KISS principle here). Finally, there are different-sized
browser windows.

So, what's your solution? Learn everything you can about HTML, CSS, and
browsers. I wish there was some easy way to do this, but there's not.
FrontPage includes support for multiple browsers, which can be helpful, but
there are so many choices, so many diffferent approaches to developing HTML
documents, that it isn't possible to write an app that can automatically
create HTML that looks the same in all browsers.
