I am using MS Office Student/Teacher Edition for the first time. I tried to
get help in Word and in Excel. I wanted to get the "index" like I used to
get in the older versions of Word and Excel. But all I'm getting is an online
help option which isn't working. I tried 3 different ways to get help:
searching for a term, connecting to help online, and download table of
contents and nothing is happening. Can anyone help me? Thank you

Hi Jan,

The older MS Help engine that had the index tab was removed and the Search feature in Office 2003, either on or offline, isn't
unfortunately too easy to use to pinpoint some information.

What are some of the terms you're searching for help on?

That's a very polite way of descibing the enormous backard leap that Help
took in Office 2003.
