Help moving from Outlook to Entourage vX

I have Outlook 2001 in Classic and I have Entourage vX. I have a whole
lot of emails stored in my personal folder (.pst in Windows speak). I'm
told by all the info I can find that the only way of getting my mail
from the personal folder in Outlook 2001 to Entourage is to upload it in
Outlook 2001 to my inbox on the exchange server and then download it
with Entourage. So I uploaded a whole folder full of emails and it seems
(in Outlook) to be on the exchange server, but Entourage just updates
with the Folder name, but doesn't see the contents!
I am at my wits end over this - somebody tell me what I'm missing.

TIA
Ron

Any chance you're viewing only Unread messages in the folder? Check
your View menu.

Think I've found the problem - if you upload an entire folder (as
Entourage help says you can) the Exchange server adds the folder name
and ignores the contents. If you add a folder within the inbox and
highlight it in Outlook 2001 and then go to Tools|Synchronize This
Folder it updates.
Thanks anyway.
