Help! Music STILL won't play!

Susan on the brink

I have tried everything to make the music play in my powerpoint presentation.
It's a large file with many photos and several pieces of music (both wav and
mp3 files.) I have put the allowable size for sound files up to 50,000. I
placed all my sound and photo files into the same folder. I deleted the old
audio files and downloaded them fresh again and put them back in the
presentation, but still nothing.

I am using the same computer I started with. The weirdest thing is that it
all played at first, but has stopped. I feel like I'm going nuts - because it
was almost ready to finish when the sound stopped. I've spent hours and hours
trying to figure
out why and I am going to miss a very important deadline. Can anyone tell me
what's wrong?? Please???! thank you!!

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? Do your music files play outside
of PowerPoint?

I will try that. Thank you!!

What is the path to the folder? Specifically, is it long? Try putting
everything into a folder directly on the harddrive -- like C:\test or
something -- and see if the sounds play then.

Hi Michael,
I am not sure which version but THINK it's 2003. (The reason i think this
is because I just downloaded an add-in that is supposed to make everything
play in PPT, and it said it would automatically choose the one I needed, and
it chose the 2003 version). I cannot tell from the Properties listing
because all it says is "Microsoft Powerpoint". That's it.

By the way, the Add in (PFC Pro 2003) doesn't seem to be working for me
either.

I bet it's just a stupid thing that I'm doing, but I'm at my wit's end. I
TRULY don't know what to try next. Starting to consider a flip chart.

Susan.

You might send an email to Austin Myers regarding PFC Pro. Do you music
selections play outside of PowerPoint? Also, how are you inserting your
sound files?

You never answered the question as to whether your music plays outside of
PowerPoint.
