Help! Need to paginate HUGE document w/chapter & page numbers

Hello all:

I've never done this before so I need some hand holding please <g>. I have
a 250 page document in MS Word XP that I need to now number the pages so that
the section or chapter number appears and then the page number.... ie.,
I - 1,2,3,4,5
II - 1,2,3,4,5,
III -1,2,3,4,5

Where can I go for a step-by-step process of how to do this or can you tell
me in a few easy steps?

In Word (2003 - don't have a machine handy with 2002) Insert->Pages
Numbers->Format.

Make a copy of your document first so if you mess up, you are not at square
one. (Close the Word document, right click and drag a copy to your
preferred place and select Copy.)
