help needed with imported duplicate mail

Please help me, I have imported a pst file and every mail is duplicated. How
do I get rid of the duplicate mails?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Tim asked:

Thanks Milly,
Are there no free dupe e mail removers? all of the ones that you have
suggested only remove a few dupes in trial version and are quite expensive
for what should only be a one off operation
