Help on adding a design template from web onto existing PowerPoint

T

Terry

Hello!

I am a teacher and have a question. My students are downloading design
templates from the web. They get them into PowerPoint, but it opens up a new
presentation. How do they get that design to apply to all of their slides on
an existing PowerPoint?

Have them do a File/Save As to save the POT file. (Or they can save as a
PPT -- it doesn't really matter, as you can apply an existing PPT as a POT.)
Then just apply the template as they normally would.

Terry, to apply a template (POT or PPT) in:

PowerPoint 97/2000:

1. Open the presentation and choose Format | Apply Design Template...

2. Navigate to where you have saved the POT/PPT and choose Apply.

PowerPoint 2002/03

1. Open the presentation and choose Format | Slide Design. This will
activate the Slide Design task pane.

2. If the design you need is not displayed in the task pane, click the
"Browse" link at the bottom of the task pane and navigate to where you have
saved the POT/PPT and choose Apply.

Do let us know if this resolves your problem or not.
