Help Please - Doc problems

Hello,

This pertains to a document from Word being sent to me via FILE, SEND TO.
In this case I received 5 documents (this is the manner in which they were
prepared) rather than one document with 5 pages.

I can read them and they all are fine as single documents.

However, when I attempt to place them on several pages (copy and paste) the
formatting changes and pages are added to the five (making them fit),
columns are lost, graphics change size and the like.

What is happening here, and how can I make it all work since they have to be
emailed to me so that I can place them on a Web Site.

Thank you,

T

Ask the person who prepared the documents to send them to you in a single
file; that puts the onus on him to make the formatting work.

That doesn't preserve paragraph and font formatting, perhaps margins and
headers and footers.

I would suggest adding a section break(next page) at then end of each
document before you copy and paste. This should accomplish a unique section
for each "page" and your formatting should be preserved within each section.

You've touched the tip of a deep and complex issue; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/WorkWithSections.htm. As Charles says,
even if you do everything right wrt section breaks, more is still required
if you want to preserve *all* formatting.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to try the section break and see if that
works. I do not wish to put the onus on the originator for certain reasons,
but thanks for the idea.
