Help Please! Entourage won't send file enclosures...

Hello all,
I have been unable to send any mail from Entourage on either OSX 10.3.9 or
10.4.1 machines using Entourage linking to a SBS 2003 box. File enclosures
seem to crawl along for ever before I get a " Connection to the server
failed or was dropped" message. All outbound mail without file enclosures
works fine.

Can someone please explain exactly how/where Entourage places file
enclosures onto the Exchange server? I think there is some kind of comms
issue or file permission error going on here, but I have nowhere to start
from....
