Steggles - Home Office

Hi there,

I want to let the world know that the site has been amended as and when it
does get changed.

My thoughts are as follows~:

1. To operate a flash banner that fades out to the normal banner - the
initial banner would be that there has been a new joinee, or that the site
has changed?

2. to set up a register option for people to sign up to a newsletter -
though god knows what I would put in it?

3. something else, that you guys could help me with?

Any ideas?

Regards,

Simon

here's a "boot strap" way:
just make a simple FrontPage form, there's one here:
http://leighton-smith.com or better:
http://shop3sisters.com (it's there for basically the same reason you want
one)

rig it up so that the email field is the reply to line, send it to a
"special" mail box (create on with your host) and when there are sufficient
entries and the change has taken place just do a "reply all" right from the
mail box. while you're doing this it'd be a good idea to also save the form
info to a .csv file incase you decide to suck the info into a "real" mailing
list program like outlook, or even something like www.constantcontact.com or
the like.

you can do all of the above right through the FrontPage interface without
looking at a single line of code.
