Help Please

I am using Power Point 2003.
It has been so long since I have put a slide show together and I seem to be
having trouble. I have 22 slides in the show and I have added my music.
When I view slide show it plays the slide and the music only up to slide 12
and then it stops. In set up show I have set it up to play from 1 to 21
slides use timings if present ( I have the slides set up to change every 5
seconds.)
In Effect Options for Music I have it set to start at slide 1 and stop after
21but still it stops at slide 12.
Can anyone offer some assistance?

I take it the music isnt 1 minute long?? (ie 12 x 5secs) If it is you'll need
to set repeat 2 times in timing.

I just checked and the music is 1 min and 51 seconds long.

Change your setting to read 1 to 999 and see if that does not make a
difference.

Thank you Michael,
Still not working it just goes to slide 12 and stops.
I have been trying to figure this out for the past two days and it is
driving me crazy. I do not want to add any more slides until I get this
corrected.
I seem to remember that when you click on Effect Options for ( sounds)
two boxes would show one with start manually and one with start
automatically.
and they both had check marks in them now I am not seeing them anymore.
Also my music is playing away but the show stops as I said.
this is driving me crazy.

So

Effects settings are start - at beginning
stop playing after 21 slides (I would make it 22 or even more)

That should work OK.

Are there any animations on the slides because if so the slides may stay
"on" for more than 5 secs each. The slide transition time is the time set or
the total time of transitions on the slide whichever is greater. This means
that 12 slides may take longer than you think.

Just noticed the settings in set up show - why 1 -21 (and are you sure its
not mistyped 1 -12!) Why not all?

thank you very much I had forgotten all about my slide transition.
I also went back to set up show and change from 1 21 to All.
As I said I have not used it for months and the old saying if you don't use
it you lose it is really true in this case.
You help was very much appreciated.

As well as my last suggestion then also check the slide transition on slide
12 (make sure that the auto advance box is ticked)
