Help: problem running Access97 macro

I'm using Office97 Prof - Access. A macro that I have
composed won't run. ERROR MSG: "MS Access Utility Add-in
not installed." Using Add-In manager finds UTILITY.MDA.
Attempting to install gives ERROR MSG: "Unable to install
add-in: missing USysRegInfo Table." HELP files not helpful.
I'd appreciate some wisdom to help get by this problem and
run the macro.
