HELP! Punctuation Marks produce special characters

H

hilaryanne

Some punctuation marks on this computer (when I'm in Word only) show
special characters. For example, an apostrophe shows a degree symbol
then a O with a line through it. Quotation marks show a degree symbol
and then a + with a - under it. What setting do I have wrong here
that's making this happen? It prints that way too... HELP!

Hi Hilary Anne:

This is a "character set" or "font" problem. You do not say which version
of Word you are using, or which operating system. Without that information
we can't advise further.

To save further questions, look up "Language" in the Help, then tell us
which language you are using. Then set all of your text to either Times New
Roman or Arial, and tell us if you see a difference.

Cheers
