Help Restore Deleted E-Mails

B

Bdarcy

After 3 years I decided to use MS Outlook desktop with the Outlook Connector
to clean up Office Live Online e-mail folders.

Transfer went great, so I deleted e-mail messages on Office Live Online for
good.

However, when MS Outlook desktop performed the send/receive it had deleted
all the e-mail messages it had previously saved. I guess it had synched with
whatever was on Office Online (which was NOTHING!) - OUCH!!

How can I recover e-mail messages on MS Outlook desktop or does Office
Online Server have a backup or restore point, say one day ago!

Please HELP!!! Thank you.

Have you checked the Deleted Items folder on-line already or did you empty
that out as well?
If you did, you'll have to contact Office Live Online support and ask if
they can restore your mailbox.

If you have a backup of your ost-file from before the deletion process;
-Place Outlook in Offline mode via File-> Work Offline
-Close Outlook
-Restore the ost-file
-Start Outlook again; your Live Hotmail messages should be back now
-Copy all the contents from your Live Hotmail account to a pst-file
-Place Outlook back online

The Outlook Connector is indeed a 2-way syncing process. If you want it only
1 way (download from inbox only) then you should configure it as a POP3
account. For details see;
