If your resume is open in word, go to file/send to/mail
recipient (as attachment). (It is best if Outlook or
Outlook express is open at the time.) A new mail message
will open with your resume attached. Address, type a
subject, and send.

In Outlook, start a new mail message, address it, and type
a subject. Click the paper clip icon. Find your file in
the tree. Select it and click open.
