F
Flipper
After a year of flawless operation I have unexpectedly
encountered the
following error while authoring from my primary
workstation:
A dialog box titled: Frontpage error
With the message: The server connection timed out.
This error is returned instantly when I try to upload a
file or group of
files larger than ~5kb in total size via either drag-and-
drop, or import.
Formerly 100 MB transfers or greater were routine. The
real puzzler is that
I can still author and upload as per usual from other
workstations on my
network. I
have now tried re-installation of FP 2002 on my
workstation twice including
scrubbing all personalized settings. The error also
occurs using both FP
2000
and 2002 server extensions. Currently my client
workstation and web server
are on the same LAN running Windows 2000 Professional
(5.0, Build 2195)
Service Pack 4. The server is running FP server
extensions 5.0.2.2623. I
have already reviewed the only two seemingly relevant
Microsoft Knowledge
Base Articles - 304132, 814332 without benefit. IE
version is
6.0.2800.1106, Service Pack 1, Q822925, Q330994. My W2K
authoring
workstation has not
changed in any identifiable way other than MS critical
updates (that have
also been applied to machines that still work). I have
both WinXP and W2K
machines from which I can author normally. Any ideas?
What gives??
