Help Timesheet view columns not showing across organization

Hi Everyone - I am using MSP 2003. I am currently running in a mixed
enviornment (PM selects which task tracking method to utilize- acutal or %
complete) We also allow the PM to push out the published fields of Actual
Start, Actual Finish and Baseline work by project.

My issue is that the timesheet view may show % Work Complete column for one
resource, but the next resource may not show that column in their Tasks view.
Has anyone ever seen this? It seems to get resolved if I go into the
timesheet view (manage views) and click Save Changes; however, I'm concerned
there is a bigger issue going on here.

Are the columns that appear in the timesheet view updated by the OLAP cube?
I have noticed that my OLAP cube update on an overnight auto update takes 5
minutes and if I manually update it takes about 12 minutes.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE.

The % Work Complete columns shows on the View My Tasks page for every
resource. If a resource does not see it, there is a strong possibility that
he/she narrowed the % Work Complete column so that its column width is 0
pixels. And no, the columns in the View My Tasks page are not tied to the
OLAP cube. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale - I'm always appreciative when you take time to answer these posts.
..very helpful. I understand that you are saying the column may be collapsed
and I appreciate very much you stating that the columns are not linked to the
Cube! WHEW!

I will have to wait and see if the columns are collapsed.. I thought I did
but frankly just cannot recall... You are much wiser on this subject, so
let's say that they are collapsed to 0 pixels and that is why the user
doesn't see them. Do you know why when I "save changes" in the timesheet
view (without making any changes) that this solves the issue?

I believe that clicking the Save Changes button refreshes the page, and
perhaps redisplays the missing column. As to "why" it does that, you've got
me! :)
