Help!! What program do I need to deploy my Mdb's in a runtime vers

I've created a few new databases for our company using Access 2000 and rather
than pay to intall Access on all of our pc's in the office I was hoping to
run the database as runtime on all the other pc's. I've seen so many
different versions of Office Developer referenced along with all the versions
of Visual Studio. All I want is the most cost effective way of deploying this
so that my company can use what I've created. On a side note, we run a few
Linux based file servers, it is possible to host the databases on this server
and still use runtime? I'm pretty new to all this, please help.....

To get the Access runtime license for Access 2000, you need to get the
"Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Edition" package.
See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odecore/html/ODEstartpage.asp

To get the Access runtime license for Access 2002, you need to get the
"Microsoft Office XP Developer" package.
See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...re/html/deorimicrosoftoffice2002developer.asp

To get the Access runtime license for Access 2003, you need to get the
"Microsoft Office Access 2003 Developer Extensions" which are sold as part
of "Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System". (Go figure.)
See:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/technologyinfo/devtools/accessextensions/default.aspx
and
http://msdn.microsoft.com/howtobuy/vsto/default.aspx

Be aware that Microsoft no longer sells the Office 2000 and Office XP
products. If you want to find those, your best bet will be eBay or Google
searching for used/discontinued software dealers.

Good luck.
