Are you saying you want a text box with bullet points so the next time the file
is opened all you have to do is start typing?

Insert the bullet, do a space then an Enter. When you open the file the next
time all you need to do is use the down arrow key to go from one bullet to the
next.

Not really Mary
Pub has by default a bullet setup/format with size: 10pt
and indent list by: 1cm
What I would like is have my template bulets default to
indent list by: 0.5cm,
I have to change every new page (and there will be lots)

Have you tried the Painter tool. With your cursor in the preferred text box,
Double-click the tool, click each text box. This is of course assuming you have
the first box formatted the way you want.

I haven't tried the painter tool, where is it & what does it do?
You can do some text defaults.
Setting Text Defaults using Normal.pub

I tried Brian's Setting Text Defaults using Normal.pub
It certainly did what I wanted, but I couldn't understand how to save
my preferences properly and gave up for now.
I'll try again another time

The Painter tool is on the toolbar; looks like a paint brush. If you single
click the tool and click the next text box it will take on the format of the
first. If you double-click the Painter tool you can copy the format to a series
of text boxes.
