I have been having a problem with the following expression:
SpantranNumb: Format([SpantranDate],"yymm") & "-" & [SpantranID]
The expression resides in a query behind a 1 form and 1 report.
The setting:
I have the master design front end database. I am the only one who opens
this database to design in it. When there is a new update I make a copy (.mde
or .mdb) and place it on the network for every one to work with. I had this
setting for 4 yrs now without any, out of the ordinary, problem.
The Problem:
Lately, 4 weeks ago the above expression started showing “#ERROR†only on
the shared copy. If I replace the shared copy with a fresh copy made from the
master, it works for a while on all the computers (10 users) then it starts
showing the #ERROR again. I have looked at the Reference Library and did not
see any thing suspicious, however, I think the reference library is the
reason. One of the 10 computers may be causing the problem. How do I make
sure that the reference lib remain intact on all machines and how would I go
about this problem if the reference lib was not the culprit?
Thanks
