Help with hyperlinks

If anyone can help, I have a problem with MS Word 2003 displaying the
hyperlink tags in the document as opposed to the text. If I right click on
the text and select "Select Hyperlink" the text displays although it always
reverts to the hyperlink eventually. This started happening just recently.
