Help with IF

Sorry I am new to excel. The formula I need is to know how to put these
two formulas together so that they work.

=b1-b2

=if(b2<=0,0)

How do you want them put together?

=B1 - MAX(B2, 0)
Or
=IF(B2<=0, 0, B1-B2)
