Help With Outlook 2003 Install

CDavey

I'm doing a from-scratch rebuild of my system, which involves starting
with Office 2000, upgrading to Office 2003, and finally arriving at
Office 2007. I have succeeded in upgrading all of the sections of
Office 2000 to 2003 except for OUTLOOK. When I try to run OUTLOOK
2003 I get the following error message:

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook, MAPIi32.DLL is corrupt or the
wrong version. This could have been casued by installing other
messaging software. Please reinstall Outlook."

When I reinstall Outlook and then try to run 2003 I get the same
message. There is a working copy of Outlook 2000 on my computer.

I have installed Agent if that might be the cause of the problem.

Please help.

Well your scratch rebuild did not require you to install earlier versions
prior to installing the upgrade. All you need to do is install the upgrade,
when it complains about no qualifying version, swap cd with earlier version,
verify it, re swap cd and continue install.

As it is uninstall all Office, clear temp files, reboot PC
Locate any pst files, which are hidden files, move them to Documents folder,
install Office 2007
