I am building a doc with outline numbering. I am encountering an odd
issue with the 4th level.
What I am trying to do is have the number hanging with the start of
the paragraph aligned with the remaining lines. Should look like this
(Will most likely have to use a fixed font view to get the proper
picture)
1) This is the start of the para. The
remaining lines should line up just
like this.
The problem is, after I set the number position and the text position,
Word inserts a tab stop right of the text position I have set. makes
the paragraph look like this:
2) This para starts at a tab stop I
do not want. the rest of the para works
just fine.
I can remove the tab stop by just dragging it off the bar and
resetting the paragraph style, but every time I make an edit to the
numbering style Word reinserts the tab stop.
None of the 3 superior levels do this...only this one. I have
compared all the settings, with and without the tab stop, and can't
find where it gets inserted.
This is driving me BATTY.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
