help with pictures

Hi,

Want to have about 100 pictures flow on one slide in a random pattern or S
pattern appearing and then disappearing of people that work at our company
with the last slide being the president of the company. Any way to do this.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? With 2003 (and I think XP/2002)
you could use motion paths and control timings with the advanced timeline.
Post back if you need more info.

If you haven't used custom animations before, do the MS online training
courses on Animations
http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/training/CR061832731033.aspx so you
understand what I'm on about :)

You need to put the photos off the side of the slide (change the zoom so you
can see) then add a motion path to each going from one side to the other
(holding down shift while you draw the line keeps it straight). Change the
length of the animation or they whizz *really* quickly across the screen and
set each picture to start at different times (all this is easy in the
advanced timeline). The last picture of the head honcho you could do
something different with like a slow fade entrance or something - have a play!

Hope that makes some sense. Go away and have a play with it and post back
if you have any more questions.

I wuld strongly recommend that you dont try to make ONE slide. Slides are
free make 100!

For each slide use 33% view so you can see around the slide and drag the
picture just off slide. In custom animation > motion paths. draw custom
choose scribble or curve and draw a path from the centre of the picture to
the centre of its final placement . Make this after previous. Add an exit
animation of choice after previous with a delay in timing tab. Slide
transition should be automatic after zero seconds. Make the other 99 slides!

Good point John - I have a similar slide with about 30 little coloured balls
and it can be difficult to control. Only problem with using different slides
is they all come in one by one, so no overlapping (in a time sense). With
100 photos that could take a while...

I usually solve the overlap problem by having a copy of the picture on slide
1 placed also on slide 2 and having the exit on this slide (+ any entrance
for next pic)
