help with preview page problem

I'v been building a site going back and forth between design and preview.
The preview has looked just like the design. But, today, for some reason,
the preview is showing the type about two points bigger, and the layout then
gets all screwed up. I've checked in different browsers and it's all the
same and it wasn't like that before - everything was in the preview as it
was in the design. What happened? How can I fix this? Any input is
appreciated. Thanks. Ken

I may have solved my own problem. It's amazing what a few minutes of messing
around with menus will show....Anyway, for those who may have a similar
problem....it was the text size setting on the browser itself which was then
used for the previews. Somehow the text size was on largest rather than
medium (Tools>Text size). It does bring up the problem of not knowing what
other people use and it's frustrating not knowing how the page will show up
on other's computers. Unlike print where anyone will see the same thing,
with these machines, anyone could see something different - and that
difference could be all messed up from the original intention. Oh well,
.....any ideas on how to make a site that is pretty much standard across
platfroms......??
