Help with RBS Based Permissions

Hi everybody,

I have what I hope is an easy question. I have been trying to
configure the Category and Group permissions to allow managers to view
their resource's tasks in the Resource Center based on their RBS
group. I know this is accomplished through the Category and Group
settings but I can't seem to find the right combination.

I know it is difficult to diagnose in this format but I hope there are
some key items that need to setup to accomplish this.

Any help is tremendously appreciated!

Hi Bryan,

In the Project Manager group, you will need to include a category to show
team membmer tasks. You do this by creating a category something like "my
teams resources". In that category make it a resource category and set the
options 1) all currnent and future projects and then set 2) all resources on
teams for my projects.

Next go into the Project Manager group and add that category to the list of
categories. Then under the category permissions for the new category in the
Project Manager group you should "allow" the permission at the bottom called
"View Resource Assignments in Assignments Views".

The Proejct managers will have to use the Resoruce Assignment views to see
the data and not Project Center but this is the best, easiest and lowest
maintenance way to enable what you are asking for.
